1. He spends too much time online.
While it’s true everyone uses a computer, no one loves it like your husband does — or seems to do anyway. He’s always tapping away at the keyboard, always starting intently at the screen. Worse, when you go near him, he looks startled, almost as if he’s been caught with one hand in the cookie jar. Maybe he does have one hand in the cookie jar — someone else’s jar, that is.
2. He turns into the nightcrawler - the geeky version, anyway.
You can’t count the times when you’ve woken up to find his side of the bed empty, only to discover that he’s by the computer, working. Work demands commitment - that much is true - but really, getting up to work after the wife has fallen asleep? That’s several shades of odd, isn’t it?
3. The monitor faces the wall.
You’ve always believed this was for aesthetics reasons. Could you have been wrong? Could it be he’s simply making sure no one else sees what he’s looking at or for?
4. He has a compulsive need to be online.
Nothing short of a major fight or a natural disaster could tear his attention away from the computer. If you quiz him about it, he gets all huffed up and defensive.
5. He clears computer histories, particularly the transcripts of his chats.
Think repeated, religious clearing of information.
